Ideas for Mini Scrapbooks - Guest Book
Who says that all best memories are made away from home? Some great memories are created with the people who come to share our home. We carefully plan the time we will spend with our guests and eagerly await their arrival. We enjoy the memories long after our guests depart, but the details can quickly fade away. Why not capture some of those moments in a mini scrapbook just for guests.
What a fun way to remember all the people who come to stay! Display your guest book near your main entry, or in your guest room. Guests will love to browse through, and will be delighted to find themselves featured.
Mini scrapbooks are fun and easy to make. Often these small albums can be created in a short time. Create a title page for your guest book. Have fun with the title. Include your family name and when you began your album. You can also list your home town, even include a photo of your house.
Create a two page spread for each guest's visit. You can layout the pages ahead of time, then just add the photo of your guests and fill in the information.
- Create a spot on one page for the guest's photo.
- Create a questionnaire on the opposite page. A computer generated form can be printed and pasted on the page.
- Add some interest with a few embellishments.
When guests come to visit remember to take a photo. If you don't have a photo from that visit, use one you already have. Fill in details about their visit, or better yet let them fill out the questionnaire and then add it to the album. These are some questions you may include on your questionnaire.
- Who came to visit our home?
- When did they come?
- Where did they come from?
- Why did they come to visit?
- What did we do during the visit?
Your family will look back at the guests who have come to visit, and cherish the memories captured in this mini scrapbook. Mini scrapbooks also make great gift ideas. Give a blank guest book as a house warming gift.
